A 10LP box with five remastered ELP gigs from 1970 to 1997, culminating in an unreleased concert from Phoenix, Arizona. The prog rock giants Emerson, Lake & Palmer were founded in 1970 by the brilliant keyboard virtuoso Keith Emerson, the gifted singer / composer / guitarist Greg Lake and the dynamic drummer / percussionist Carl Palmer. Throughout their career, the group has performed in some of the most famous venues in the world. First Time Out Of This World: Live (1970-1997) is a cross-career boxing set that features some of the biggest and most important live shows ELP has ever played. Enclosed in a special black, matt slipcase with hot foil finishing, each LP has been reissued with beautiful new designs on deluxe gatefold double LPs. Most of the LPs are previously unreleased on vinyl and have not been reissued on CD for a long time. The box set contains a 32-page glossy photo book with intimate and unseen pictures of the band by legendary photographers Lynn Goldsmith and Neil Preston. The foreword was written by Jerry Ewing, editor of Prog magazine. The previously unreleased live show from Phoenix 1997 is included in this set.
